How It Works
The Honeywell HE120 Whole House Bypass Drum Humidifier mounts directly onto your furnace and hooks to your water supply line to humidify your air as it is heated. During humidification, water supplied from your drain line flows evenly over an absorbent humidifier pad (included). Warm, dry air from your furnace then passes over the humidifier pad, picking up moisture during movement before it is circulated throughout your home.
This Honeywell whole house humidifier is controlled by a standard humidistat (included) that installs easily on your return air duct or a wall in your living space. To control the humidity, use the combination relative humidity/outdoor temperature setting scale on the humidistat and refer to the recommendation table listed in the owner's manual.
Simple Installation and Maintenance
The Honeywell HE120 Drum Humidifier installs easily with the help of the included installation kit and step-by-step instruction video. A professional installer is not required. The unit features snap-lock fittings and reversible components that allow for fast installation and easy access for routine maintenance. The HE120's unique flow-through design means that the system stays cleaner longer and requires less frequent maintenance. Honeywell recommends that you clean the system every 1 to 3 months to prevent mold, mineral, and dust buildup, depending on your water quality.
